Waddesdon Manor Real Wedding | Nessa and Sam
Nessa and Sam hosted their exquisite summer wedding at Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire. Specifically choosing the Terrace overlooking the lake for their wedding ceremony, and the West Hall for their wedding reception within The Dairy spaces at Waddesdon Manor.
The Terrace at Waddesdon Manor Wedding Venue
Nestled within the grounds of this exclusive wedding venue in Buckinghamshire are two pavilions that extend out over the lake. With its exposed brickwork and high vaulted ceilings, the Waddesdon Manor Terrace really is the most picturesque and tranquil location for wedding ceremonies. I worked together with Nessa and Sam to create a timeless floral installation. It needed to frame the beautiful architecture of the space and also shape impact for their wedding photographer to work with too.
The Dairy Courtyard
Right at the heart of The Dairy is the beautifully curated courtyard where Nessa and Sam’s guests had celebratory Drinks and canapés after the ceremony. It’s the perfect space for entertaining guests, especially on the warm and sunny summer wedding day that our couple had. Because it’s also located close to the pavilion, it meant that the wedding party could be easily called on for the more formal wedding shots in front of the floral arch moon gate and join the guests again without missing a beat.
The West Hall Wedding Reception
Nessa and Sam wanted to keep the styling of their wedding reception in the West Hall of Waddesdon Manor light & airy. We both also felt it was important that it perfectly balanced with the other florals that we created for their wedding ceremony too. Because of the tall vaulted ceilings in this space we curated two different designs for the guest’s tables.
The first table design chosen was a classic full floral dome that sat atop an elegant glass vase. They included fresh flowers and hints of foliages like traditional Roses, blousy Hydrangea’s, heavenly Peonies, petite Spray Roses and frilly Lisianthus.
Nessa and Sam also fell in love with our faux botanical blossom trees that we hire out for weddings. For Nessa and Sam we finished them off with tealights in hanging glass globes that would add a warm glow to the evening festivities.
Lastly, The wedding party was seated on an elongated top table which had the ceremony long and low floral arrangement placed on it. As we weren’t staying on site with our turn around team, we worked closely with Wedding planner Ann Nicholas and her team to make sure that staff were aware of the fact that this floral piece needed moving to here.
Nessa and Sam – I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed working with you to create your dreamy blush wedding florals at Waddesdon Manor. It really was the perfect combination of wedding suppliers, colour palette, gorgeous guests and summer wedding weather!
