July wedding at Notley Abbey.

Abbey and Conrad’s July wedding at Notley Abbey was a romantic’s dream. They fell in love with The Monks’ Refectory with its exposed beams, brickwork walls and glittering hanging chandeliers and decided to host not only their ceremony but also their wedding reception in this space.

The Wedding Ceremony in The Monks’ Refectory

Classic, elegant, timeless. Abbey and Conrad chose to have our blossom trees lining the aisle on clear plinths for their wedding at Notley Abbey. Each of the blossom trees were adorned with hanging globes with flickering tea lights in them.

And at the front, a statement Moon Gate installation with mixed sage green foliage, White roses, Hydrangeas, Snapdragons, Phlox and cream pampas grass. There was a beautiful balance between fresh flowers and foliage and dried elements like the pampas and the touches of white ruscus and ferns.

Importantly, our team also stayed on site at this July wedding at Notley Abbey to help move these floral installations into key spaces for the wedding reception. To find out where elements were moved to, keep reading.

Abbey and Conrad’s Wedding Breakfast

Alternate guest tables had our classic gold raised stands with a floral arrangement on the top. We also moved the aisle blossom tree’s onto the other guest tables. Using floral designs with height meant that it created an incredible impact. When guests walked in and also mean that they could still see and have conversations with everyone on their table.

For the long top table we placed a full long and low design at the front of the table in the centre and also left a vase filled with water that Abbey’s bridal bouquet could be placed into. As a finishing styled element we moved the Moon gate behind so that it framed the couple during their Notley Abbey wedding breakfast.
